The stud was founded in 1979 and the riding ponies are all descended from our two foundation mares Waltzing Matilda (former Wembley show hack) and Craftfield Fairy Gold (former 14.2hh Pony of the Year). We have bred top quality riding ponies of all types including those pictured and have recently used coloured stallions on our mares with the aim of breeding coloured ponies of equal quality.

The first shetland pony, Candida of Colden Water, was purchased in 1989 for Toby's eighth birthday. The shetland section of the stud (based on Marshwood bloodlines) rapidly grew and Toby won many championships with his stallion Ross of Colden Water including Shetland Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Royal Welsh Show 1995.
